And now for something completely different...
"A rescue operation was under way this evening to save a wounded whale in the Thames. The 18ft creature sparked excitement after it was sighted swimming past the Houses of Parliament, send spouts of water 20ft into the air. Hundreds of people lined the river on each side to catch a glimpse. (...) It is the first time this type of whale has been seen in the Thames since records began in 1913. Bagy Tokhtokh, 35, who runs a stall selling souvenirs, said: "It's the first time I've ever seen a whale. I'm from Mongolia and they're not very common there."
